Compassion Kitchen

One Meal at a Time

PHAi’s Compassion Kitchen in Long An commenced in May 2015, with a purpose to provide nutritional home-cooked meals for the blind, those with disabilities, the sick, the elderly, and PHAi’s Compassion Classroom children. Home deliveries are also made for those who are home-bound.

It is overseen by Fr. Dom Liem and his parishioner volunteers to create diverse menus, complete grocery shopping at local markets for fresh ingredients, and freshly prepare daily lunches.

PHAi’s monthly commitment to the Compassion Kitchen is just $1000 AUD. To date, over 60,000 meals have been provided.

While it has not cured world hunger completely; as Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, "If you can’t feed one hundred people, then feed just one".

This is exactly what PHAi is striving for. One meal at a time. If you are interested to join PHAi on this journey to feed the poor and the vulnerable, we would love to hear from you.
